Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The document opens inside your browser, and the PDF is created with your browser’s own print feature. Your résumé or contract is never sent over the internet.
Why does it say “Beta”?
The only program that can render a Word document exactly is Word itself. Conversion in the browser works well for résumés, letters and assignments, but multi-column layouts, page numbers and some fonts may look different. That’s why we ask you to check the preview before saving.
Is the text in the PDF selectable?
Yes. The PDF contains real text, not images, so you can search it and copy from it.
Can I convert old .doc files?
No, only .docx is supported. Open the document in Word and use “Save As” to save it as .docx.
