Frequently asked questions

Is my password stored anywhere?

No. The password is only used in this tab while the file is being encrypted. It is never sent to a server and is cleared from memory when you close the tab.

Which encryption is used?

AES-256, the strong method recommended by the current PDF standard and supported by up-to-date PDF readers.

What if I forget my password?

Nobody, including us, knows your password or can recover it. We recommend writing it down somewhere safe.
